Research on alternative to native Calendar application in MacOS

The biggest challenge in the native calendar app on Macintosh is to get the new meeting of the new event created in the middle of the day because there is many layers of events overlapping and it's impossible to click into the empty space without being selected another event.

In the screenshot below, it is demonstrated that it is impossible to create an event on 10.30 on Friday without selecting the green event. First requirement for alternative calendar would be ability to create new event in the visual user interface by clicking into the desired empty time frame.

Another challenge is to set the time when event beings and ends. it is necessary to press [Space], follown by [Tabulator] several times to move from one field to another.

It is positive that the duration of event can be chosen.
